Vegan Baulois Chocolate Fondant
Ingredients
- 115g sugar
- 75g margarine
- 75g unsweetened apple sauce
- 165g silken tofu
- 50g all-purpose flour
- 200g dark chocolate
- 1 large pinch of salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 160°C with fan assistance.
Using an electric whisk, beat the sugar and margarine together.
Add the apple sauce and silken tofu, and continue beating.
Add the flour and whisk again to fully incorporate.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
Once the chocolate is melted, add it to the mixture and stir with a spatula.
Pour the batter into a 16cm diameter mold, sprinkle with a large pinch of fleur de sel on top, and bake for 25 minutes.
Serve hot or warm.
Notes
This fondant is quick to make and best enjoyed warm.
