Sweet and Savory French Toast with Scrambled Eggs

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs (for French toast)
  • 2 tablespoons almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • sprinkle of cinnamon
  • sea salt
  • bread
  • olive oil
  • berries
  • maple syrup
  • 2 eggs (for scrambled eggs)
  • chili flakes
  • fresh chives

Preparation

  1. Whisk together 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons almond milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, sprinkle of cinnamon and sea salt.

  2. Dip bread in the mixture and fry in olive oil until cooked to your liking.

  3. Serve with berries and drizzle with maple syrup.

  4. For scrambled eggs: Beat 2 eggs, add to a hot lightly greased pan, turn heat down and stir until almost cooked, then remove from heat.

  5. Sprinkle with chili flakes, fresh chives and sea salt.

  6. Note: Eggs cook quickly, in about 1 minute, so stay close by.
