Spicy Shrimp Sambal with Petai
Ingredients
- 350 g shrimp, peeled with tails on and back slit
- Lime juice, to taste
- 1 bunch petai beans, peeled and halved
- Oil, as needed
- Water, as needed
- Sugar, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 tomato, sliced
Ground spices
- Red curly chilies, to taste
- Bird's eye chilies, to taste
- 5 shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
Preparation
Heat oil in a pan, sauté ground spices until fragrant, add petai and shrimp, stir until color changes.
Add a little water, season with salt, sugar, and sliced tomato, then stir.
Wait until spices are absorbed and almost dry, then serve with warm rice.
