Turkish Mushroom Pide
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Approximately 5 cups flour
Filling
- Mushrooms
- Tomatoes
- Olives
- Corn
- Sausage
- Salami
- Green pepper
- Kasar cheese
Egg wash
- 1 egg yolk
Preparation
Knead the dough and let it rise.
From the risen dough, tear off small pieces, each about 40 grams; you may not use all of the dough as it can be stored in the refrigerator.
Lightly flour the dough pieces and roll them out with a rolling pin, then place them on a baking tray.
Fill each rolled dough with the filling ingredients and fold the edges inward.
Brush the folded edges with a mixture of egg yolk and a little water.
Bake at 240 degrees Celsius on the bottom rack of the oven.
