Cardamom Spiced Oatmeal with Banana and Almond Milk

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground cardamom
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 cup almond milk

Preparation

  1. Bring all ingredients together in a saucepan set to medium heat.

  2. Once at a simmer, stir occasionally and allow oatmeal to thicken to desired consistency.

  3. Add sprinkles on top for celebration.

  4. Include fresh fruits such as blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pluot, and coconut flakes as toppings.

  5. Note that this batch may taste like cake batter with the additions.
