Cabbage Salad with Olives

Ingredients

  • 250 grams sliced cabbage
  • 1 medium peeled and thinly sliced green apple
  • 1 medium grated carrot
  • 1 large thinly sliced pickled cucumber

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • black olive slices
  • chopped walnuts
  • pomegranate seeds

Preparation

  1. In a deep bowl, combine the cabbage, apple, carrot, and cucumber and mix well.

  2. For the sauce: In a deep bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper and mix with a fork until smooth.

  3. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and mix to combine, then refrigerate for about an hour or until ready to serve.

  4. To serve: Transfer the salad to a serving dish, garnish with black olive slices, chopped walnuts, and pomegranate seeds, then serve.
