Easy Apple Crumble Dessert
Ingredients
Filling
- 2 lb apples (about 6 small/medium apples)
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup sugar
Crumble topping
- 1 cup oats
- 3/4 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/3 cup vegan butter or coconut oil
- 1 flax egg (1 tbsp flax + 3 tbsp water)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Preparation
Start by washing, peeling, and chopping the apples into small pieces and add them to a large bowl.
To the apples, add in the rest of the filling ingredients and mix them well, then transfer to a baking dish.
To make the crumble topping, add all of the topping ingredients to a new clean bowl and mix them well.
Sprinkle the crumble topping all over the apples.
Place the apple crumble in the oven and bake at 375°F/190°C for 45-60 minutes, until the topping becomes golden and crispy.
Serving suggestions
Top with whipped cream or vegan ice cream.
