Easy Brazilian Zebra Marble Cake
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 300g sugar
- 125ml oil
- 125ml water
- 375g all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
Preparation
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add half the sugar and beat until firm. Set aside
Beat egg yolks with the remaining sugar until light and creamy. Add water and beat until foamy
Add baking powder, flour, and oil, beating until smooth
Gently fold the egg white mixture into the batter until incorporated
Divide the batter into two bowls. Stir cocoa powder into one bowl
In a greased and floured pan, place one spoonful of white batter in the center. Top with one spoonful of chocolate batter
Repeat, placing spoonfuls of white and chocolate batter alternately in the center, until all batter is used. This creates the zebra pattern
Bake in a preheated 180Β°C oven for about 50 minutes. Cool, then unmold and serve
