Easy Honey Glazed Chicken
Ingredients
- 500g chicken thigh or breast fillet
- 3 cloves garlic
- 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 egg white
- 100 ml water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Oil for frying
Sauce
- 8 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 10 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Cornstarch slurry for thickening
Preparation
Mix all the batter ingredients except the chicken until well combined, then add the chicken and stir until evenly coated.
Heat a generous amount of oil over medium heat and fry the chicken pieces one by one to prevent sticking, until golden brown. Remove and drain.
In a skillet over low heat, combine all sauce ingredients except the cornstarch slurry and cook until it starts to bubble, then add the slurry to thicken. Turn off the heat.
Toss the fried chicken in the sauce and stir briefly, then remove.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve the honey chicken.
