Brazilian Buttery Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 180 g butter
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation
Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside
In a mixer, add egg yolks, sugar, and butter
Beat until creamy
Add flour and milk until a homogeneous batter forms
Gently fold in the egg whites and baking powder
Bake for about 40 minutes
