Basic Dough for Breads and Snacks

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 grams dry yeast
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk (approximately)

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl except the milk, which should be added gradually until the dough reaches a kneadable consistency (not too sticky)

  2. Knead well until the dough becomes smooth and elastic

  3. Let it rise until doubled in volume

  4. Shape with or without filling

  5. Let it rise again

  6. Brush with beaten egg

  7. Bake in a medium oven at 180Β°C
