Cardamom Oatmeal with Fresh Fruit Toppings

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled or quick oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.

  2. Allow to thicken and cook for 3 minutes.

  3. Remove from stovetop and top with fruit such as mango, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, pumpkin seeds, and a seed and grain mix.
