Maca Oats Breakfast Bowl with Fruits and Nuts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • optional sweetener

Toppings

  • blood oranges
  • banana
  • berries
  • pomegranate
  • cacao nibs

Preparation

  1. Add all dry ingredients to a saucepan and stir to mix evenly.

  2. Add the liquid and banana, then bring to medium heat to cook.

  3. Stir as the oats begin to thicken, which takes about 5-7 minutes, then remove from heat.

  4. Allow the oats to sit and thicken further as they cool.

  5. Top the oats with desired fruits and enjoy.
