Simple Brazilian Yeast Bread with Sweet Glaze
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 5g dry yeast
- 500g all-purpose flour
Preparation
Blend the warm milk, eggs, sugar, salt, oil, and yeast in a blender until smooth
In a large bowl, combine the blended liquid with the flour and knead until a dough forms
Grease a baking pan with butter and dust with flour
Shape the dough into small balls and place in the prepared pan
Cover and let rest for 3 hours or until doubled in size
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown
Prepare a thin syrup by dissolving 1 tablespoon sugar in 2 tablespoons water
Brush the warm bread with the sugar syrup
Notes
Use half a package (5g) of dry yeast for 500g of flour. If doubling the recipe, use a full package (10g).
