Crackshell Overnight Oats with Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup jumbo oats (or gluten free)
- 1 - 1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
- 1.5 tbsp raw cacao
- Optional tiny pinch of salt
- Optional maple to taste
To serve
- 40g dark chocolate (plus more optional for chunks)
- Flaked almonds
Preparation
Blend the almond milk, cacao, optional vanilla, salt, and sweetener until frothy using a small blender or stick blender.
Combine the oats with the cacao milk and allow to soak for 15 minutes or overnight. Adjust thickness with additional almond milk if needed and add maple syrup if desired.
Melt the dark chocolate in a glass bowl over simmering water or in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring occasionally.
Place the oats in a bowl, drizzle with the melted chocolate, and refrigerate to set. Optionally top with more dark chocolate or nuts.
Tips
Adding almond chia butter can make the oats thicker due to the congealing chia seeds.
Breakfast is important as it breaks the overnight fast and provides essential nutrients for energy and health.
