Creamy Oatmeal with Caramelized Bananas and Granola
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup gluten free oats
- 1 tbsp chia seeds or 1 tbsp ground flax seeds (optional)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- a pinch of salt
- 1 scoop protein powder of choice
- 1 cup milk of choice
Toppings
- purely_elizabeth honey almond granola
- Caramelized bananas
- peanut butter
- cinnamon
Preparation
Stir all the oatmeal ingredients together in one pot.
Bring to almost a boil, then immediately reduce heat to simmer.
Stir frequently until the mixture is thick and creamy.
Prepare the caramelized bananas by slicing them and cooking in a pan until golden and caramelized.
Assemble the bowl by topping the oatmeal with honey almond granola, caramelized bananas, peanut butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Notes
Using pea protein can make the oatmeal thicker.
