Creamy Oatmeal with Caramelized Bananas and Granola

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup gluten free oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or 1 tbsp ground flax seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 scoop protein powder of choice
  • 1 cup milk of choice

Toppings

  • purely_elizabeth honey almond granola
  • Caramelized bananas
  • peanut butter
  • cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Stir all the oatmeal ingredients together in one pot.

  2. Bring to almost a boil, then immediately reduce heat to simmer.

  3. Stir frequently until the mixture is thick and creamy.

  4. Prepare the caramelized bananas by slicing them and cooking in a pan until golden and caramelized.

  5. Assemble the bowl by topping the oatmeal with honey almond granola, caramelized bananas, peanut butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes

  1. Using pea protein can make the oatmeal thicker.
