Savory and Sweet Brunch Sourdough Toasts
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash of vanilla extract
- slice of sourdough bread
- spring mix
- fried egg
- fresh dill
- crushed red pepper
- avocado
- EBTB seasoning
- butter or oil
- yogurt
- fresh berries
- Manuka honey
Preparation
Mix together 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 egg, 1/2 tablespoon coconut sugar, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and a dash of vanilla extract.
Dip a slice of sourdough bread into the mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
Heat a skillet with butter or oil and cook the bread for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown.
For a savory slice, fry an egg until crispy, then layer on spring mix, the fried egg, fresh dill, and crushed red pepper on another slice of bread.
For avocado toast, mash avocado and mix with EBTB seasoning, then spread on a slice of bread.
Top the French toast with yogurt, fresh berries, and a drizzle of Manuka honey.
