Easy Melt-In-The-Mouth Poğaça
Ingredients
- 125 grams butter or margarine at room temperature
- 1 tea glass vegetable oil
- 1 tea glass yogurt
- 2 eggs (one yolk reserved for topping)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 packets baking powder
- 2 cups corn flour
- 2.5-3 cups flour (adjust as needed)
Filling
- 1 bowl white cheese
- Parsley
Topping
- Sesame seeds
- Egg yolk
Preparation
In a bowl, mix flour, corn flour, salt, and baking powder.
Add the other ingredients to make a soft dough.
Tear off pieces slightly larger than a walnut and roll into balls.
Flatten slightly, add the filling in the center, seal the dough, and roll again.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and make a cut in the center with a sharp knife.
Bake in a preheated 170°C oven until done.
Notes
No yeast is needed, and there is no waiting time for rising.
Flour amount may vary; adjust to achieve the right dough consistency.
