Easy and Quick Stovetop Orange Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup corn oil
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • vanilla

Preparation

  1. Prepare a mold with a central hole and high edges, grease it with butter, and flour it.

  2. On a piece of parchment paper or in a deep plate, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add orange juice to milk and mix well.

  4. In a mixer bowl, place eggs, vanilla, and sugar, attach the whisk attachment, and beat on medium speed until the volume doubles. Gradually add oil while mixing until fully incorporated. Alternately add the milk mixture and flour mixture, and mix until smooth. Add orange zest.

  5. Pour the batter into the mold, cover with its lid, and place the special baking piece on the heat.

  6. Place the mold on very low heat for about an hour. Test for doneness with a wooden stick; it should come out clean.

  7. Invert the cake onto a wire rack and let it cool completely before serving.
