Easy Chocolate Hummus Dip
Ingredients
- 15 oz chickpeas, drained
- 2 Tbl natural creamy peanut butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbl cocoa powder
- 4 Tbl maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4-1/2 cup non-dairy milk
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth
Start with 1/4 cup of non-dairy milk and add more as needed to achieve the desired consistency
Refrigerate to firm up, as the mixture will thicken
Tips
Optionally peel the chickpeas for a smoother texture
Use coconut or granulated sugar in place of maple syrup for variations in consistency and smoothness
This recipe makes about 6 servings and can be enjoyed as a dip with fresh fruit, a topping for pancakes, or eaten straight with a spoon
