Gluten-Free Halloween Chocolate Donuts

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Chocolate topping

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • sprinkles

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.

  2. In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs then add in 1 cup almond flour, 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 3 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp baking powder.

  3. Mix all ingredients together.

  4. Grease a donut pan.

  5. Add batter to the pan about 3/4 of the way up.

  6. Bake for 12 minutes.

  7. Let cool and remove from the pan.

  8. Melt 1/4 cup of chocolate chips with 1 tsp coconut oil.

  9. Dip the top of the donuts in the melted chocolate and add sprinkles.

  10. Put in the fridge to let the chocolate topping harden if desired.

Tips

  1. Use a silicone donut pan for easier removal.
