Fried Luqaimat Yogurt Dough Balls

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons fine instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon starch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine cardamom
  • 3 cups yogurt

For frying

  • Corn oil for deep frying

Preparation

  1. In the mixer bowl, put the flour, yeast, starch, sugar, and cardamom, attach the mixing beater, and run to mix the ingredients

  2. Add the yogurt and run on medium speed for 5 minutes until a medium-thickness dough forms, then place the dough in a bowl, cover with plastic, and put in the fridge for a full day

  3. Put the syrup in a deep plate and place it beside you, in a deep skillet put the oil to a height of 2 inches, and place the skillet on medium heat to heat the oil

  4. Put some dough in a bag, press to extrude the dough, cut into balls with the fingertips of your other hand, and drop them in the hot oil

  5. Using a slotted spoon, flip the luqaimat several times until golden brown, remove from the oil, and immediately place in the syrup
