15-Minute Instant Chia Jam
Ingredients
- 250g frozen berries
- splash of lemon juice
- Sweetener of choice (e.g., maple syrup)
- 3 tbsp chia seeds
- cinnamon, optional
Preparation
Place the fruit in a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Take off the stove and add in lemon juice, sweetener and spices if using.
Once you are happy with the taste, stir in the chia seeds.
Transfer into a jar and let cool in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
Tips
This jam is nicer and cheaper than supermarket versions.
Avoid avoiding fruit due to fears; it provides important nutrients like vitamins and fiber.
Try serving on crumpets with macadamia butter for a great snack.
