15-Minute Instant Chia Jam

Ingredients

  • 250g frozen berries
  • splash of lemon juice
  • Sweetener of choice (e.g., maple syrup)
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • cinnamon, optional

Preparation

  1. Place the fruit in a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

  2. Take off the stove and add in lemon juice, sweetener and spices if using.

  3. Once you are happy with the taste, stir in the chia seeds.

  4. Transfer into a jar and let cool in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.

Tips

  1. This jam is nicer and cheaper than supermarket versions.

  2. Avoid avoiding fruit due to fears; it provides important nutrients like vitamins and fiber.

  3. Try serving on crumpets with macadamia butter for a great snack.
