Cinnamon Quinoa Oat Snack Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp uncooked/dry quinoa
  • 2 tbsp ground flax (or other seed, or omit)
  • Cinnamon (or any spices of choice)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (such as @paulfamilyfarmspa cinnamon maple syrup)
  • Chopped dates (desired amount)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, uncooked quinoa, ground flax (or other seed), and desired amount of cinnamon or other spices.

  3. Add the unsweetened applesauce and maple syrup to the bowl.

  4. Stir the mixture until the oats are fully coated with the applesauce and maple syrup.

  5. Mix in the chopped dates.

  6. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet, forming an even layer.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.

  8. Allow the baked mixture to cool before breaking it into snack-sized pieces.

  9. Store the snack bars in a suitable container.
