Baked Potato Casserole with Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch crushed chili
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

  1. Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare a 9-inch baking dish.

  2. In a medium saucepan, place the butter, milk, salt, pepper, chili, and cinnamon. Heat until the milk boils.

  3. Add the potato slices and cook for 10 minutes.

  4. Using a slotted spoon, remove half of the potato slices from the milk and place in the dish in a single layer. Sprinkle half a cup of cheese over them. Add the remaining potatoes. Pour the milk mixture over the potatoes and spread the remaining cheese.

  5. Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 40 minutes until the potatoes are cooked and golden brown. Serve immediately with grilled meat.
