Easy Turkish Cheese-Filled Buns
Ingredients
- 2 eggs (one yolk reserved for brushing)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup melted margarine
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 3.5 cups flour (adjust as needed for consistency)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
Filling
- 1 bowl of cheese
- A pinch of parsley
Topping
- Sesame seeds
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a large bowl, mix together the eggs (reserving one yolk for brushing), vegetable oil, melted margarine, yogurt, salt, baking powder, and vinegar.
Gradually add flour and knead to form a soft dough, adjusting the flour amount as necessary for the right consistency.
Prepare the filling by mixing the cheese and chopped parsley.
Divide the dough into small portions, flatten each piece, add a spoonful of filling, and shape into buns.
Place the buns on a baking sheet, brush with the reserved egg yolk, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown.
