Puff Pastry Chocolate Fingers

Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry squares
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 10 pieces chocolate biscuit fingers
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom

Preparation

  1. Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C

  2. Prepare shallow baking trays

  3. On a floured surface, place the puff pastry and roll it out to a rectangle about 4 mm thick using a rolling pin

  4. Brush the dough with melted butter using a pastry brush

  5. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon and half of the cardamom over the dough

  6. Cut the dough into strips about 1 cm wide using a pizza cutter

  7. Wrap each strip around a chocolate biscuit finger to cover it completely, seal the ends, and place in the tray with 1 inch space between each

  8. Brush the wrapped fingers with more butter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon and cardamom

  9. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until golden brown

  10. Remove from oven, place on a wire rack to cool slightly, and serve
