Classic Marbled Carrot Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk

Preparation

  1. Blend sugar, eggs, and oil in a blender until homogeneous

  2. Remove one-third of the mixture from the blender and place in a bowl (use the blender cup measurements to make this easier). Reserve

  3. To the remaining mixture, add chopped carrots and blend until homogeneous

  4. Pour the mixture into another bowl, add 2 cups all-purpose flour and 2 teaspoons baking powder, and mix

  5. Take the reserved bowl and add cocoa powder, milk, 1 cup all-purpose flour, and 1 teaspoon baking powder

  6. Pour the carrot batter into a greased and floured tube pan

  7. Then pour the chocolate batter into the center of the carrot batter

  8. Using a skewer or fork, gently push the chocolate batter down. Do not push too much because the chocolate batter is denser and will sink slightly during baking

  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for approximately 40 minutes

  10. Remove from oven, let cool, and unmold
