Easy No-Hand-Touch Phulka Chapati
Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat flour (atta)
- 1 tablespoon oil or butter
- Salt to taste
- Finely chopped coriander (optional)
- Approximately 2 cups or more water
Preparation
Take a mixing bowl and add 2 cups of wheat flour
Add 1 tablespoon of oil or butter
Add salt to taste
Add some finely chopped coriander if desired
Add spices of your choice if making paratha
Gradually add approximately 2 cups or more of water while mixing to make a thick batter
Heat a non-stick pan
Pour a spoonful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thick layer
Cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes
Flip and cook for another 5 minutes
Flip again and press with a spatula while roasting until air bubbles form
Drizzle some oil if desired for paratha
Cook until golden-brown
Make additional chapatis using the same method
Tips
The batter should coat the spoon and not be too runny
Spread the batter into a thick layer on the pan
Drizzle oil if you wish to make a paratha version
