Indonesian Boiled Corn with Coconut

Ingredients

  • 7 pieces of hard or dried corn
  • 300 grams grated young coconut
  • Salt
  • Sugar

Preparation

  1. Shuck the corn and remove the kernels, then boil using a pressure cooker or regular pot until the corn is cooked and burst, then set aside.

  2. Steam the grated coconut with a little salt, stir well, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

  3. Mix the boiled corn, steamed coconut, and sugar on a plate, stir well, and serve.

Tips

  1. Boiling does not have to be done with a pressure cooker; a regular pot can be used.

  2. If using hard corn, it may take longer to cook.

  3. Sweet corn can be used for easier and faster cooking.
