Indonesian Boiled Corn with Coconut
Ingredients
- 7 pieces of hard or dried corn
- 300 grams grated young coconut
- Salt
- Sugar
Preparation
Shuck the corn and remove the kernels, then boil using a pressure cooker or regular pot until the corn is cooked and burst, then set aside.
Steam the grated coconut with a little salt, stir well, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Mix the boiled corn, steamed coconut, and sugar on a plate, stir well, and serve.
Tips
Boiling does not have to be done with a pressure cooker; a regular pot can be used.
If using hard corn, it may take longer to cook.
Sweet corn can be used for easier and faster cooking.
