Indonesian Stir-Fried Rice Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 blocks of flat rice noodles
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetables as desired
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Powdered stock to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Ground spices

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 cloves shallots

Preparation

  1. Boil the flat rice noodles for 2-3 minutes and drain.

  2. Grind the ground spices into a paste.

  3. Sauté the spice paste until fragrant, then add the egg and scramble it.

  4. Add the vegetables, salt, powdered stock, sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chili sauce; stir until the vegetables are wilted.

  5. Add the cooked noodles and cook until the flavors are absorbed.

  6. Adjust seasoning to taste and remove from heat.
