Pasta with Beef Fillet, Peppers, and Burrata in Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 200 g beef fillet, cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, cut into rings
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 150 ml cream
  • 1/2 jar red pesto
  • about 250 g pasta
  • 1 burrata

Preparation

  1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente, then drain

  2. Sear the beef fillet strips in a hot pan with some oil briefly, then set aside

  3. Sauté the peppers and onions in a mixture of butter and olive oil until translucent and set aside as well

  4. Add tomato paste, cream, and pesto to the pan

  5. Press in the garlic, then add back the beef fillet and vegetables

  6. Season everything heartily

  7. Fold in the cooked pasta

  8. Distribute the burrata on top and serve with some fresh basil
