Steak with Basil Sauce

Ingredients

Steak marinade

  • 6 thick steak pieces
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon crushed chili
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Basil sauce

  • 2 cups basil leaves
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Preparation

  1. In a small glass bowl, place the vinegar, oil, garlic, oregano, chili, salt, and pepper, then stir the sauce with a fork to mix

  2. Spread the sauce over the meat slices, cover the dish, and put it in the refrigerator for several hours

  3. Turn on the oven grill, prepare a tray with a rack, place the steak on the rack, and grill for about 15-20 minutes until the meat is cooked

  4. Remove the steak from the oven, cover with aluminum foil, and set aside

  5. For the basil sauce, in a food processor bowl, place the basil, garlic, pine nuts, salt, and pepper, run until the sauce is smooth, and add the oil gradually until it mixes with the basil

  6. On a serving plate, place the steak, spread a tablespoon of sauce over each piece of meat, and sprinkle cheese

  7. Serve hot with sautéed vegetables
