Steak with Basil Sauce
Ingredients
Steak marinade
- 6 thick steak pieces
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon crushed chili
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Basil sauce
- 2 cups basil leaves
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Preparation
In a small glass bowl, place the vinegar, oil, garlic, oregano, chili, salt, and pepper, then stir the sauce with a fork to mix
Spread the sauce over the meat slices, cover the dish, and put it in the refrigerator for several hours
Turn on the oven grill, prepare a tray with a rack, place the steak on the rack, and grill for about 15-20 minutes until the meat is cooked
Remove the steak from the oven, cover with aluminum foil, and set aside
For the basil sauce, in a food processor bowl, place the basil, garlic, pine nuts, salt, and pepper, run until the sauce is smooth, and add the oil gradually until it mixes with the basil
On a serving plate, place the steak, spread a tablespoon of sauce over each piece of meat, and sprinkle cheese
Serve hot with sautéed vegetables
