Tekirdağ Style Turkish Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon semolina
  • 1 onion (grated)
  • Half tea glass bread crumbs (or stale bread)
  • Half teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 4-5 tablespoons water
  • Black pepper
  • Cumin
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a deep bowl

  2. Knead the mixture well for 10 minutes

  3. Lift the mixture and slam it back into the bowl 10 times

  4. Cover the meatball mixture with plastic wrap and let it rest

  5. Shape the rested mixture into thin finger shapes

  6. Fry the shapes in a non-stick pan on both sides until cooked

  1. Serve with salad for a complete meal
