Quick Turkish Dessert with Syrup
Ingredients
Dough
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons semolina
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1/2 cup ground pistachios or crushed hazelnuts
Syrup
- 2.5 cups milk
- slightly less than 1 cup sugar
Topping
- coconut
Preparation
Beat eggs and sugar in a deep bowl until frothy.
Add the remaining ingredients except pistachio and mix.
Add pistachio and pour the mixture into a greased square baking dish.
Bake at 160°C until golden.
Meanwhile, dissolve sugar in milk by stirring continuously to make the syrup.
After removing from the oven, wait 5 minutes and pour the syrup over the dessert.
Allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
After 3-4 hours, slice and sprinkle with plenty of coconut.
Serve cold.
