Malaysian Buah Melaka Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour
  • 2 teaspoons wheat flour
  • 1 cup pandan juice
  • 2 blocks palm sugar
  • Coconut

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients together until a dough forms that can be shaped.

  2. Prepare the coconut by mixing it with a pinch of salt and steaming for 10 minutes.

  3. Cut the palm sugar into small pieces.

  4. Shape the dough into balls, each enclosing a piece of palm sugar, and make many of them.

  5. Bring water to a boil.

  6. Add the dough balls to the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface.

  7. Drain the cooked balls.

  8. Mix the drained balls with the prepared coconut mixture.

  9. Serve immediately.
