Turkish Herbed Potato Fritters

Ingredients

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cups flour (plus extra for rolling)
  • 4 stalks green onion
  • 4 stalks dill
  • 4 stalks parsley
  • 1 heaping tablespoon butter or 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper
  • Turmeric

Preparation

  1. Grate the potatoes.

  2. Chop the green onions, dill, and parsley.

  3. In a large bowl, mix the grated potatoes, egg, flour, chopped herbs, salt, black pepper, and turmeric to form a mixture.

  4. Heat the butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  5. Shape the mixture into patties and fry until golden brown on both sides.

  6. Serve hot.

Notes

  1. The cup measurement used is 200 ml.
