Warm Coconut Oatmeal with Banana and Spices

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Pinch cardamom
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 1 cup coconut milk (not canned, the beverage)

Preparation

  1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.

  2. Allow oats to cook and thicken for 3 minutes then remove from stove to serve.
