Turkish Dill and Carrot Poğaça
Ingredients
- 250g margarine or butter
- 1 tea glass vegetable oil
- yogurt (one water glass minus a finger)
- 1 heaped tablespoon sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 heaped teaspoon salt
- 6 water glasses flour (adjust as needed)
- 2 packets baking powder
- 2 carrots
- 1/2 bunch dill
Filling
- any type of cheese
Topping
- nigella seeds
Preparation
First, knead all the dough ingredients together.
Then, add finely chopped dill and grated carrot, and knead again.
Shape the dough into approximately 25 pieces and fill each with cheese mixture.
Brush the poğaça with the reserved egg yolk and sprinkle with nigella seeds.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C fan-assisted until golden brown and cooked through.
Tips
This poğaça does not require rising time and stays fresh longer.
