Turkish Poğaça Bread Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 tea glass warm water
- 1 tea glass yogurt
- 1 tea glass vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs (yolks for brushing)
- 4 to 4.5 cups flour
- 125 grams butter
Preparation
Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast, then add the remaining ingredients to form a soft dough that does not stick to hands. Cover and let it rest for 45 minutes.
Divide the risen dough into 4 equal pieces.
Roll out each piece, brush with oil, roll into logs, and cut each into 8 equal pieces. Arrange in a baking tray.
Cover and let rest in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
Shape the dough pieces as desired.
Let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.
Brush with egg yolk.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius until golden brown.
