Chocolate Orange Protein Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 25g chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 banana or 1 flax
  • 150ml milk (almond milk used)
  • 50ml fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Toppings

  • zest of 1/2 orange
  • dark chocolate

Preparation

  1. Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth.

  2. Optionally add chocolate chips to the mixture.

  3. Pour the mixture into a non-stick frying pan on medium heat until bubbles form.

  4. Flip the pancake and cook the other side until fluffy.

Tips

  1. If using whey protein instead of vegan protein, the mixture may be less thick; add more flour or cocoa powder as needed.

  2. Adjust the thickness of the mixture to your preference for best results.
