Revani Turkish Semolina Cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups semolina
- 1 heaping cup flour
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1 packet baking powder
- grated lemon zest
Syrup
- 4 cups sugar
- 5 cups water
- juice of half a small lemon
Preparation
First, prepare the syrup and let it cool.
Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer until fluffy.
Add yogurt, oil, semolina, baking powder, flour, vanilla, and lemon zest in order, mix well, and pour into a baking tray.
Bake in a preheated 200-degree oven until golden.
Pour the lukewarm syrup over the lukewarm cake after removing it from the oven.
Let it rest in the cold for 1 hour before serving.
