Spicy Salted Fish Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 100g salted jambrong fish
  • 2 tablespoons fried peanuts
  • 1 pack petai beans
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tablespoons oil for stir-frying

Sliced spices

  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 green curly chilies
  • 15 red bird's eye chilies

Preparation

  1. Soak the salted jambrong fish briefly in water and drain.

  2. Fry the fish until crispy.

  3. Stir-fry the sliced spices until fragrant and wilted, then add the petai beans and stir.

  4. Add the fried fish, peanuts, and tomato, stir briefly until well mixed, then remove from heat.

Tips

  1. No need to add salt as the fish is already salty; sugar is optional to taste.

  2. Can substitute salted jambrong fish with dried anchovies if unavailable.
