Crispy Indonesian Vegetable Fritters

Ingredients

  • 300g medium protein wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1/4 medium cabbage, finely sliced
  • 200g carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 100g bean sprouts
  • 1 stalk green onion, finely sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, finely sliced
  • 600ml water
  • As needed oil for frying

Ground spices

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients and ground spices evenly and taste test.

  2. Fry in hot oil as needed over medium heat.

  3. Scoop the batter into the oil and fry until cooked.

  4. Serve with bird's eye chili or sweet soy sauce sambal.
