Creamy Stovetop Oats with Caramelized Banana

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup gluten free oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds and/or 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon + a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1-2 scoops vanilla protein of choice

Toppings

  • Caramelized banana
  • Raspberry
  • Peanut butter
  • Granola
  • Cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients for the oats in a pot.

  2. Bring to almost a boil, then immediately reduce heat to simmer.

  3. Stir frequently until thick and creamy.

Toppings prep

  1. Slice bananas and cook in a pan with butter and sugar until golden brown to make caramelized banana.

  2. Assemble the bowl by adding the cooked oats and toppings: caramelized banana, raspberry, peanut butter, granola, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
