Berry Infused Oats with Flaxseed and Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup thawed frozen berries
  • unsweetened almond yogurt

Preparation

  1. Set out 1 cup frozen berries to thaw.

  2. Mix the oats and flaxseed together.

  3. Heat 3/4 cup water in the microwave for about 2 minutes.

  4. Carefully pour the hot water over the oats mixture.

  5. Cover the bowl with a plate and let it sit for at least 30 minutes or more.

  6. Mix in 1/4 cup of the thawed frozen berries to add color.

  7. Top with the remaining berries and drizzle with unsweetened almond yogurt, which might be messy.
