Homemade Garlic and Herb Bread
Ingredients
Dough
- 3.5 cups flour
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 packet instant dry yeast
- 1 heaping teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Chopped parsley, dill, or fresh basil
- 2 cloves garlic
- Salt
Toppings
- Kashar cheese
- Tomato
- Olive
Preparation
Heat the water, mix all dough ingredients in a bowl, and knead for 15-20 minutes until the dough is smooth.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it has increased 2-3 times in size.
Prepare the garlic sauce by mixing the butter, chopped herbs, garlic, and salt.
On a floured surface, shape the risen dough into a round form and place it on a baking sheet.
Score the dough with a knife, spread the garlic sauce mixture over it, and add the cheese and desired toppings.
Bake in the lower part of a fanless oven at 180 degrees Celsius until golden brown.
