Hot Cross Bun Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 60g any porridge oats
  • 10 tbsp boiling water
  • 2 tbsp any yoghurt + 2 tbsp for topping (I used plain soya)
  • 1/3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 tsp mixed spice
  • 2 tbsp sultanas
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or sugar or sweetener

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, pour the oats and hot water, stir, and leave for 5 minutes to thicken.

  2. Once thickened, stir in all of the other ingredients.

  3. Pour into an empty jam jar or any container with a lid, put the lid on, and leave in the fridge overnight or for a few hours.

  4. When you’re ready to eat, remove from the fridge, top with extra yoghurt, make a cross shape using cinnamon and sugar, and tuck in.
