Lemon Drizzle Bread Roll

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp self-raising flour
  • 2 tbsp vanilla or plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Vegan Clear Protein powder lemon & lime flavor
  • 1 tsp margarine
  • Sprinkle of Vegan Clear Protein
  • 1 tbsp powdered icing sugar
  • Drop of water

Preparation

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180C/350F/gas mark 4.

  2. In a bowl, mix the self-raising flour, protein powder, and yogurt together with a spoon until well combined.

  3. Use your hands to form a dough ball. If the dough is too wet and sticky, add a pinch of flour. If it's too dry, add a little extra yogurt. The dough should be rollable in your palm.

  4. Place the dough on a floured surface and roll it into a flat sausage shape.

  5. Spread margarine and sprinkle protein powder over the dough.

  6. Roll up the dough using your fingertips and place it on an oven-proof tray or tin.

  7. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes (check after 12 minutes as ovens may vary).

  8. Remove the roll from the oven and transfer it onto a plate.

  9. Mix the powdered icing sugar with a drop of water until it becomes runny. Drizzle the icing over the top of the roll.
