Apple Cinnamon Instant Oats with Slow Cooker Baked Apples
Ingredients
- 3 pounds Fuji Apples, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cardamom
- 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice or a pinch of nutmeg
- Juice of one lemon
Preparation
Place all the apples in the slow cooker.
Toss the apples with cornstarch, cinnamon, cardamom, Chinese 5 spice (or nutmeg), and lemon juice.
Cover the slow cooker with a lid and set it to high. Cook for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally as the apples cook down.
Serve the slow cooker baked apples on top of your instant oats to add flavor and freshness to your morning meal.
